Overpopulation has been very evident in our country for the past many years. Today, our country's population is around 102 million and it's steadily increasing as time goes by. As our numbers keep increasing, the problems it cause us are worsening. Many of our Filipino brethren have no jobs or are having a hard time finding one because the number of jobs available in our country is not enough to accommodate all them. Also, many young Filipinos have no proper education because of reasons like their parents have no jobs to support their schooling, overpopulated schools, and many more. Another thing contributing to this problem is the corruption happening in our government. Many funds that are supposed to be used for government project goes instead to the pockets of these corrupt officials. Their selfish desires have truly corrupted their hearts and minds.
In my opinion, there is nothing wrong in having a big, happy family, but what's wrong is having a big family but not being able to support them. I believe that this is what's happening in our country today. Our numbers kept on growing that our government wasn't able to keep up with our continuously growing numbers. I believe that there is still hope in the problems that overpopulation is causing us. We just have to believe that we have the power to change the mistake that we have done.
